Buying your first (or second, or third…) helmet can be tricky. There are so many options, it’s hard to know what you need, what you don’t need and what the best option is for you.

Things are getting busy again with this much calmer weather much nicer to ride in.
All of our Q Ride instructors much prefer the sun on them, rather than the rain!
So do our new and experienced riders.
Just heard from one of our students (Brendon) who has just come back from a 4,500 km ride out to Innamincka in South Australia and Birdsville, Queensland.
Always great to hear of the amazing adventures our students get up to – Brendon was a mature age (42 I think) student when he learned how to ride here just 4 years ago.
Since then he’s ridden with friends:
Next up is a 18,000 km ride around Australia, taking in the Savannah Way in Queensland and the Northern Territory, and the Gibb River Road in WA with his 20 yo son Jack (another one of our students) who has a KLR 650.

I’ve just put up a new article this morning with a few useful tips on improving your riding during and after motorcycle training.
Hope there’s some useful tidbits in there for you.

As we head into the hotter months we’d strongly suggest all students bring a cap to lessons.
There are times when you’ll be chatting with your Instructor about techniques on the side of the road or in our training area and a cap is needed to keep the sun off your head.
We want you cool and comfortable to enjoy your riding to its fullest.
